Precizion

Precizion is a physical toy/game that is similar in functionality to paper football. It requires no assembly. The player uses the launcher to shoot the ball into the cutouts in the toy, aiming to have the ball reach the net at the very back of the toy. If a ball does not reach this final ring, the ball falls into the ramp system that eventually returns the ball to the player. The toy prominently features glow-in-the-dark elements that allow the toy to double as decoration.

Expanse

Expanse is a suite of spatial audio production tools. This was an exploration of UI design in an audio production workflow. Included in the project were two designs: a panner utility and a reverb effect. After a year of researching spatial audio, I began the project looking to simplify the terminology in the spatial audio field without diluting the description each term brings. Since I believe spatial audio is an obvious and logical step forward for many audio applications, I focused on making the tools accessible and easy to use so that a theoretical pivot to spatial audio production would be a painless user experience.

Dairy Land

Dairy Land is a local outdoor diner in Walterboro, SC. I designed packaging for a number of their menu items while making their brand assets much more cohesive. I also made some creative choices in adding additional brand assets (i.e. patterns, color, and typography).

Roll With It!

Roll With It! is a 3D physics and movement based video game. The player controls a rolling ball, guiding it through the obstacle course. The visual style of the brand and game were inspired by Roblox and Cool Math Games. The game features a character expression system that changes the character’s face texture when falling or rolling down a hill at high speeds. The 3D assets were created in Blender, and the game was programmed and designed in the Godot game engine.

Expanding Roll With It! for my final project, I researched competitors like Roblox, Fortnite, Super Mario Bros. and various mobile games. I designed a brand around this knowledge and formed assets the brand would use. I designed deliverables like packaging and apparel as well as online experiences. In addition to these pieces, I programmed the game and designed a level using my own 3D assets. The game features the same character expression system as the early version, as well as an improved cinematic camera and interactive objects.
